OrbitDisk Pro is a product of BlunkWorks, LLC ("BlunkWorks," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information OrbitDisk Pro and the orbitdisk.blunk.works website handle, and how. OrbitDisk Pro is an offline macOS application built to respect your privacy.
Your files stay on your Mac. OrbitDisk Pro scans, analyzes, and manages files locally on your device. The names, paths, and contents of your files are never uploaded to us or to any third party. We do not have, and cannot see, your file data.
What the app collects
Licensing data. To activate and validate your license and enforce node-locking, the app sends our licensing service a hashed Machine Identifier derived from your Mac's hardware UUID (a one-way hash — it cannot be reversed to your hardware ID or used to identify you personally), along with your license key/License File and the app version. During a free trial, the same hashed Machine Identifier is used to track trial status so reinstalling doesn't reset the trial.
No file contents. The app does not send us the contents, names, or locations of the files you scan, move, or delete.
No analytics or tracking. The app does not include advertising or third-party cross-app tracking.
What our backend stores
Purchase & license record. When you buy, we store the purchaser's email address and a license record — edition (Standard/Pro), license key, activation count and per-device activation entries (each tied to a hashed Machine Identifier and an optional device label you set), app version, and license status.
Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers; we store only a Stripe payment reference.
Basic logs. Standard server logs (such as request time and a truncated identifier) used for security, licensing integrity, and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use this information solely to: activate, validate, and node-lock your license; run your free trial; deliver your License File and send license and support emails; process your purchase and any upgrade; and detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and license misuse (including maintaining a revocation list). We do not sell, rent, or share your information for advertising. Ever.
License revocation
We may add a license to a revocation list — which disables its activation and validation — in cases of chargeback, fraud, sharing, or violation of the EULA & Terms of Sale. This uses only your license record and hashed identifiers, not your file data.
Where your data lives
Your license and purchase records are stored on our servers in the United States and backed up routinely. Access is limited to what's needed to operate and support the Software.
Your choices
Deactivate a Mac from within the app to free a seat and remove that device's activation entry.
Uninstall the app at any time; it leaves your files where they are.
Access or delete your license record — email us and we'll help, subject to any records we must keep for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Children
OrbitDisk Pro is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, note it on this page.
